In his post-win interview, Davis credited his team. He said, “I started working with a hypnotherapist a few weeks ago just to take another angle into trying to get myself sorted out, and Grace has done an awesome job.”

Later, in the winner’s press conference, he said that working with a hypnotherapist had made a significant impact in a short amount of time—he’s been feeling better over the last few days. And he’ll certainly be on a high for the next few weeks after rallying from behind to take the win.

Having missed the boat for the Olympics and admitting not to have been in a good place two to three weeks before the Rocket Classic, Davis knew something had to change. He said, “I felt like a change of direction was definitely needed—something that I was actually gonna stick to because I’m definitely someone who will start doing something, and if it doesn’t feel like it’s helping straight away, it’s very easy to drop it. But sticking with the work that I’m doing with Grace has made a very big impact very quickly.”
